Make Credits Efficiently in SWTOR
Reliable income · Darth Malgus economy
Current for Game Update 7.9.1
The strongest general route is to stack rewards: earn Conquest and Tech Fragments while gathering materials, then turn the tradable rewards into credits on the GTN.
Direct credits are useful, but the valuable layer is usually the tradable material, currency conversion or market item earned at the same time.
Best all-round route
- 1Check two or three live GTN prices
- 2Reach 100,000 Personal Conquest Points
- 3Earn Tech Fragments in content you enjoy
- 4Compare OEM-37 and RPM-13 before converting
- 5List, review sales and repeat on alts
Complete Personal Conquest on as many characters as you can do comfortably. When the guild also reaches its invasion yield, qualifying characters receive another reward package and a Flagship Encryption that may be sold on the GTN. At the Spoils of War vendor, compare OEM-37 and RPM-13 on your server and buy the one with the better realistic sale value.
Choose your income lane
Conquest across alts
Use easy daily objectives, short Heroics and your preferred weekly content to reach Personal Conquest. This stacks Tech Fragments, guild rewards and direct mission credits without needing starting capital.
Tech Fragment content
Operations, Heroics, Dynamic Encounters, Flashpoints, Warzones and Galactic Starfighter all contribute through direct drops or missions. Choose the activity you can clear quickly and consistently; wasted queue time is lost profit.
Gather while playing
Take Slicing, Scavenging, Archaeology or Bioanalysis, gather every node along your normal route and keep companions running missions. Sell raw materials in useful stack sizes. Even low-grade materials can move because they feed decorations, cosmetics and Conquest crafting.
Convert Jawa scrap
Compare the GTN unit value of materials offered by the three Jawa vendors before exchanging scrap. Demand changes, so a material recommended last month may be a poor conversion today.
Craft proven demand
Augment kits, augments, stims, adrenals, dyes, crystals, prefabs and selected cosmetics can sell well. Craft only when the finished payout beats the live value of every input; selling the raw materials is often more profitable.
Flip GTN items
Flipping needs price history, capital and patience. Learn one narrow category, buy only obvious discounts and keep enough cash to absorb slow sales. Expensive Cartel items can show large margins while remaining unsold for days.
GTN profit check
Net profit = GTN payout shown − material cost − mission or vendor costs.
Darth Malgus prices are the only prices that matter for this guild. Do not copy prices from Star Forge, another guide or last week's sale.
- Search the exact item and compare unit price, not only stack total.
- For crafting, price every input at what it could sell for raw.
- Use smaller stacks for buyers who need a few materials; use full stacks for crafters.
- Do not undercut a temporary outlier if normal listings are much higher.
- Track what actually sells. A realistic fast sale beats an impressive unsold listing.
Thirty-minute routine
- Collect finished crew missions, send companions back out and empty junk.
- Check Personal Conquest for two or three fast objectives that overlap.
- Run several short Heroics or active Dynamic Encounters while gathering nodes.
- Advance one weekly activity that pays Tech Fragments or Conquest.
- Compare your tradable rewards on the GTN, then list only at a price you accept.
Weekly checklist
- Finish Personal Conquest first on your strongest level-80 character.
- Repeat on alts only while the objectives remain fast and enjoyable.
- Claim guild-invasion rewards after reset and price any Flagship Encryptions.
- Spend capped or near-capped currencies before continuing to farm them.
- Reprice expired listings from current market data rather than the old listing.
- Keep a reserve; do not reinvest your entire balance into one speculative item.
Free-to-play and Preferred
Free-to-play and Preferred accounts can hold 1,000,000 credits on a character at once. Deposit credits into the Legacy Bank before reaching the cap; excess character credits go to escrow. While levelling, prioritize progression and gathering because mission-credit rewards improve at higher levels.
Rules and expensive traps
- Never buy credits for real money. SWTOR rules prohibit buying or selling accounts, items and in-game currency without permission.
- Never use automation, macros or exploits to gather or farm.
- Confirm every digit before buying, mailing or trading a valuable item.
- Opening packs is gambling, not a dependable money-making method.
The repeatable formula is simple: complete Conquest while earning Tech Fragments, gather along the way, sell liquid rewards, and move into crafting only after the live GTN proves there is a margin. Consistency beats one lucky sale.
